Cdr elite xray sensor going to work with win 10?

Postby smiledochill » Thu Nov 16, 2017 9:10 am

I'm getting quotes to overhaul all my outdated computers and need to know if my only sensor is going to work with the win 10 machines. I have a cdr elite intraoral xray sensor, use xrayvision for the imaging software (which i know will need updated). Can itf be done? Simple software/ driver update needed?

Dear Smiledochill,

The CDR Elite sensor and Schick Elite remote module are upgrade-able to Windows 10 with the "Current Version" driver 5.13. Click on the following link for the driver and installation and upgrade information:

Everything is up and running. Driver link worked great, THANKS. in Xray vision I select capture image, it recognizes the sensor and is pre-selected, I click through like everything is great and both the sensor and xray vision is ready and waiting for an xray.... when I actually emit radiation onto the sensor ("take an xray") I gives the error message "unable to capture image An unexpected bit depth (12 bits) has been returned by Schick."

Is this something to do with the sensor, driver, xray vision software? Any suggestions?

Dear Smiledochill,

The CDR Sensors are set to capture a 12 bit image. The Xray-Vision software can only capture 8 bit images. To capture with 8 bit images Start Apteryx Xray Vision.
† Click Tools > Hardware Options at the Xray
Vision window.
† Select Schick and click Options at the
Hardware Preferences window.
† Click Schick Settings at the Schick Digital
Xray Options window.
Uncheck the box "Acquire 12 bit Image" and click apply/ok
